Muscle Supplement for Teenager?
Hey, Im thinking about getting a muscle supplement that says, "Helps improve recovery time, and increases strength and muscle size." It’s not steroids, even though it sounds like it. It’s currently being evaluated by the FDA, but not yet approved. Does this supplement sound o.k. for a 15 year old? Or are supplements not good for teenagers?
The Brand is Advocare, and im not sure what the specific vitamin is called, but I think it’s just strength/muscle pills. Their website is www.advocare.com. from there you can look at the vitamins
What is the brand + product name?
Can’t really answer without that information.
In General: Whey Protein Powder, Creatine Monohydrate, multi-vitamins and protein bars would all be safe for teenagers.
Edit:
I can’t find the exact one that you said, but given the other products on their site I think you can find a better/cheaper alternative.
If you are an athlete/workout alot I would use animal pak vitamins http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/univ/animalpak.html or Orange Triad multi-viatmins http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/clabs/orangetriad.html or GNC mega-men. If you don’t workout as much simple Centrum multi-vitamins or walmart brand would be adequate (I workout lots and I’ve never used anything but Centrum).
Since your description mentions recovery/muscle strength I’d go with BCAAs like Scivation Xtend or AEN Intrabolic http://www.a1supplements.com/IntrAbolic-1.1-Lbs.-p-16980.html taken during your workout. Or for Recovery strength etc I’d use Pure creatine Monohydrate Powder ($14 at nutraplanet.com)
Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful
